The duo »Dirks and Wirtz« became a fixture in the music scene in Germany after they received the top award at the »1st EUROPEAN GUITAR AWARD« in 2006. They masterfully perform classical pieces from Astor Piazzolla, Sting, Ennio Morricone, and Chick Corea.
In addition, they also perform their own compositions innovatively combining elements of the Tango Nuevo, Flamenco, South American traditionals, and the Musette Walz. The result of their inventive instrumental playing is to provide the audience with a unique listening experience.
The duo received numerous rewards at several international festivals and competitions in Europe.
